Experimental Bar - China Town, London
Great interiors with mix of materials. The spot used to be a deserted bar that only when everywhere else is closed on a Monday, people would stumble in. Now with it's odd (experimental) location in the middle of China Town, amongst all the Chinese restaurants, this bar is regularly on full capacity. It's usually helpful if you speak French and enjoy drinking cocktails you have not idea of the content.

NOPI - another player in SOHO
Just opened new restaurant in Soho, London by Israeli-born Yotam Ottolenghi. This Middle-Eastern inspired menu will serve the selective Londoners. Within a month we can see if it's managed to draw regulars from Polpo, Bocca di Lupo and the likes. Seared scallops with pickled daikon and chili jam anyone? The name of the dish is already a mouthful!

Solution to Under-Eye Circles
I've searched long and hard for the perfect under eye concealer, in terms of ingredients especially. Jane Iredale's Active Light concealer has won me over. It's not only ideal for various skin tones but also contains Vitamin K. Vitamin K is suspected to revitalise the blood vessels around the sensitive skin area. This product not only acts as a concealer but also a brightener - which is exactly what a concealer should provide in modern times! The convenient and compact packaging allows for quick application and fits in all bags for touch ups or travels.
If you've discovered a better product, keep me posted!

Sky Bar Opening
Millbank Tower 21-24 Millbank, London
The Dome at State Tower, 1055 Silom Road, Bangkok
Compare the views!!
Was in Bangkok 2009 and Sirocco Sky Bar was buzzing with live music and performances. There were amazing food and drinks with the loveliest view of the city.
London Sky Bar is has a lot of live up to and from my experience this weekend, they will have to try extra hard to compete with other fabulous locations in London.
It's out of my regular territory so perhaps those based around Pimlico will have an ideal venue for the evening. Unfortunately this place will not draw my friends and I back any time soon - that's already 3 less table bookings, minimum.
What can I say? If you want to enter this business, have to make sure it's worth the 'travel'.
